Stash enhancement and WIPs

My very first pair of socks that I ever knit and gifted for my sister was knit out of Fleece Artist yarn in the Cosmic Dawn colorway. In fact, I think I knit these for the very first Knitting Olympics when The Yarn Harlot hosted it. Here’a photo of the original sock in progress and the finished socks. You’ll notice that they are a little big on me, but my sister has a bigger shoe size than I do.

I have no idea what possessed me to go on a hunt for this yarn, but it was harder than I thought. I finally located it in stock – thanks to some help on Ravely-at Simply Sock Yarn and purchased it. You can see it with my other two purchases Socks that Rock in Fire on the Mountain (a repurchase…sister got those socks too!) and Electric Koolaid.

This is my yarn from Hurricane Yarn in the County Fair colorway. This colorway was an ‘oops’ but I think that I might try and recreate it for the shop. What do you think?

These are Embossed Leaves socks and I’ve had them floating around in my various knitting bags, boxes and moves for I don’t know how long. Typical Second Sock Syndrome to be honest. lol These are knit out of Claudia Handpaints Limeade colorway. I just love this yarn and the fabric is makes. I have knit several socks out this yarn and it has never failed me. :)

This blob is English Garden and I really should have had it finished by now. It’s for my mom in law and if I don’t hurry, she’ll never get a chance to wear it before next fall. I am really not that far from finishing. I’m over half way done and there will be over 800 stitches on the ruffle when I’m done. I really should work on this tonight, and see how far I get. Maybe I can get it finished this weekend. That would be great, then I’ll have my socks to work on while riding in the car to Gainesville to get kiddo for Spring Break. What is everyone out there knitting?
